For 'Truth' to be realised paths are many. But that knowledge which leads to 'Realisation and Liberation' is known to only quite few seers. Vedic scriptures dwell on Karma Yajna, the elaborate ritualistic practices involving sacrifices, oblations which is not as efficient as the Jnana Yajna in delivering the goods; that is, Knowledge of Realisation.
Yajna is performance of a ritual as laid down in Vedas invoking and propitiating deities by chanting specific mantras for each deity and making offerings into the sacred fire for a purpose either for the benefit of an individual or the society in general (Viswa Kalyana). Even if one gets heavenly pleasures by performing such yagas, they do not in any way last for ever and put an end to rebirths by culmination into final salvation. Hence, for the one keen on ultimate liberation, 'Jnana Yajna' is the proper solution.
This powerful Jnana Yajna, the easiest and best way for salvation, as being learnt from his Guru, Annamacharya passes down to us in his sankeertana, "Jnana Yajna Mi Gati Moksha Sadhanamu".
'Our Guru brought a sturdy 'sacrificial animal' called "Ajnana" (Ignorance) into the 'Yagasala' (performing site of yaga) called "Body", bound it and cut it with 'sword' called "Vairagya" (detachment) and made sacrificial offering into the 'sacred fire' called "Jnana" (Wisdom).
'Later making me carry through performance of certain other 'rites' like "salutations", I was admitted into the 'elite club of sages' called "Parama Bhagavata Vaishnavaits". This was followed by his singing of 'Soma Pana Sankeertana' called "Sri Pada Tirtham" (water sanctified by cleansing the feet of the deity). In this way, our guru monitored and guided us in performing "Jnana Yajna".
'Later he distributed to us the 'Purodasam', 'Huta Sesham' (left over sacrificial oblations) in the form of "Guru Prasadam". After that he adorned our ears with two 'Kundalas' (ear ornaments) called 'Dwaya' - the "two mantras" as 'Srimannarayana Charanou Saranam Prapadye' and 'Srimate Narayana Namah'. In this way he made us "visualize the Almighty Within our heart". Thus our Guru imparted us the Divine Knowledge of "Self Realisation" '.......
