Devotion about the Deity; Knowledge about Spiritualism may not be as easily available as one expects. Nevertheless being in the righteous path and discharging acts with simple awareness of one's True Self is enough to take care of our happy existence in this world as well as the Liberation into the other. This is being conveyed in the sankeertana, "Daivamu Nerugamu Tatvamu Dalachamu" of Annamacharya..........
'In what a pitiable condition are we! We do not know about the God. We do not think about the spiritual knowledge. In fact, we do not contemplate at all on these matters. In these circumstances, it is only the refuge in the Almighty Within we can bank on.
'Through this earthly form only the human being indulges in either pious or sinful deeds. Acts done in anger result in bad deeds and acts done with peaceful mind result in good deeds. Patience and contentment result in ennobling of lives. So, we too imbibe those qualities for our betterment.
'The living being breaths in and breaths out pranic energy. When inhaled it is cool and when exhaled it is warm. Between awakened state and sleep, the body acts like the carrier. The life energy is retained only up to the holding capacity (longevity) of the physical body. We pull along this life with this awareness.
'Oh Man! You have to invariably engage with both the worldly affairs and efforts for liberation in to the other. This world is like own house and liberation is like the neighbouring house. If you strive for tidiness of the own house, it naturally reflects in the well being of the neighbouring house. For this result, only thing one has to resort to is taking refuge in the Almighty Within'................
In a way truly speaking, this sankeertana rightly applies to the present 'being'. When one's preoccupation is being 'In' it is amusing to observe that things pass off as if in accordance of the premonitions that precede. But nevertheless, to be honest, it is the observation from the state of witness only. Hence no elation or deflation!
